Where is your time going?

Klein teachers! Please fill out and share this brief survey so we can take info to our superintendent meeting. Did you know that you are entitled to 450 minutes of planning time per 2 weeks? These minutes cannot be filled with PLCs and meetings unless you agree to them. Thanks! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScIWIEXMsknA4WM5pebIJ5qFOBTEeDMt59Qq2Jt482eOAZP4w/viewform

Where is your time going? The Klein Education Association members have raised concerns about the amount of extra things taking up protected time for planning, prep, and lunch.

Please reach out ASAP. Next vote is Thursday. This link will connect you with your representative! You know the drill, it'll probably be an aide, but all they need to know is that Texas children need the money already promised to them. We haven't been fully funded for years. It is wrong to steal the $ intended to help schools, and replace it with the $ that was intended to make-up for all of the extra expenses incurred due to the pandemic. This year has been hard for learning. Kids not only deserve it, they need it. The learning gaps and loss will not magically disappear. It will require interventions. We CAN do it!

#StopTheSwap! Every other state but TX and NY have been able to get federal stimulus money to students!Help us urge our #txlege to use our federal public education stimulus funds to #FundTxEdRecovery, not to replace the funding already committed to #txed from the state.

This is a huge concern. Many school districts around the state are struggling with attendance due to a public health crisis that is out of their control. We need to fully fund Texas schools. This year's budget needs to be frozen at last year's levels.

Governor Abbott is threatening to cut funding for districts struggling with attendance issues or choosing to continue remote instruction on the advice of local health officials. Tell the governor to stop this political bullying! https://bit.ly/Abbottbully
