David Sedaris has a new book out and we could not be more delighted. The Land and Its People is classic Sedaris: funny, honest, and uncomfortably relatable.

David has been coming to Houston since the early 2000s, and we like to think we've grown on him. For our 60th anniversary, he wrote us a love letter to the city, our jazz band from Kinder HSPVA, and our very own Lee Strickland, who he calls "General Always Willing to Take Me To The Airport." High honor.

Read his letter here: https://performingartshouston.org/houston-by-david-sedaris/

Then go get the book.

Just a moment...
