This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice have made it possible for our communities to live, grow, and thrive.
At Avondale House, we are grateful for the freedoms we enjoy each day and reflect on the meaning of service, not only in remembrance, but in how we care for and support one another. Today, we honor those who served with gratitude and commit to carrying forward their legacy through compassion, dedication, and community.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day!

Happy National Nurses Day to our wonderful nurse, Marilyn! 💙
Marilyn’s healthcare journey began at just 18 years old as a direct care staff member. That early experience ignited a passion for caring for others and inspired her to continue her education and become a Registered Nurse. Today, she brings over 25 years of experience supporting individuals with a wide range of needs.
Throughout her career, Marilyn has worked in diverse settings, including ICF, HCS, and host home environments, as well as in emergency care and psychiatry. Each experience has shaped her into the compassionate, skilled nurse she is today and strengthened her commitment to providing respectful, individualized care.
At Avondale House, Marilyn plays a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals we serve. Her dedication, expertise, and heart for our community make a lasting impact every single day.
Thank you, Marilyn, for your dedication, compassion, and the difference you make at Avondale House and beyond! 💙
