Avondale House is excited to welcome our new receptionist, Naomi to our team!
Originally from Westlake, Louisiana, Naomi recently relocated to Houston in April 2026 from Lafayette, bringing with her 18 years of experience in early childhood education and leadership. She began her career as a teacher’s aide before advancing to a classroom teacher, assistant director, and ultimately serving as the director of a childcare center in Lafayette for the past four years.
When asked what she enjoys most about Avondale House, Naomi shared that it is the kindness and sense of purpose she sees throughout the organization “Knowing that everyone walking through these doors has a purpose, not just focusing on themselves but also helping others, says a lot. Being part of something so meaningful is the reason I’m here.”
In her role at Avondale House, Naomi is looking forward to supporting participants, families, and fellow team members however she can. She hopes to be a welcoming face for everyone who enters our doors and a source of encouragement when it’s needed most.
