2025 Summer Session (May 23-July 23, 2025)

LIT’s Annual I•N•T•E•R•N•A•T•I•O•N•A•L D•A•Y will be on Thursday, April 10.

Please come dressed in your TRADITIONAL COSTUME and enter the COSTUME CONTEST.🥻👘 🥋

If you want to enter the TALENT SHOW, please come to the office to sign up.🎼🎤🎻🎸🪘💃🏻🕺🏻

Please also bring FOOD from your home COUNTRY to share with others. 🧆🥘🍜☕️🫔🍲🥟🍙🥮

School will provide BBQ BEEF and CHICKEN along with many other side dishes. 🍗🍗

We can’t wait to see you on INTERNATIONAL DAY!

The Learning Institute of Texas will be closed on Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22, due to inclement weather. The Administration Office and LIT Campus will be closed during this period and no classes will be held. Normal operations should resume on Thursday, January 23.

As a reminder, LIT follows Alief ISD’s inclement weather policy. We will continue to monitor the weather situation in the Greater Houston area and any changes to the current announcement will be announced on Wednesday, January 22.

Please take measures to protect your home during the freeze:
•Wrap exposed outdoor pipes
•Disconnect all outside water hoses from their faucets
•Open cabinet doors under the sink in your bathrooms and kitchen to allow airflow to reach the water pipes
•Turn off and drain your automatic sprinkler system
•Ensure your chimney is clean and has proper ventilation before starting a fire
•Protect water pipes in un-insulated areas of your home such as your garage
•DO NOT use outdoor grills, fire pits, and/or other outdoor heating devices inside your home
•DO NOT use a gas generator indoors
•Please ensure your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are working and in good order
•Please be mindful of your electricity use and keep heating systems at a reasonable temperature
•BRING PETS INDOORS
