At the annual faculty and staff end-of-year barbecue, we celebrated milestone years of service, our Alumni Service Corps, and honored Mr. Brian Hearns and Mrs. Bree Smith as this year’s Magis Award recipients. Congratulations to Logan Warner ’26 on being this year’s Todd Maddox Memorial Scholarship recipient! This year’s finalists included Daniel Estrada ’26 and Wesley Stewart ’26. The scholarship was established in 2000 to honor the memory of Todd Joseph Maddox ’99. Its purpose is to recognize an exceptional graduating senior who has consistently developed and lived a Christ-like attitude throughout his time at Strake Jesuit, thus serving as a role model among his peers. Jesuit Martial Arts adds two new black belts: Diego Adams ’26 and Raphael Nguyen ’26! Earning a black belt requires four years of dedicated training, skill development, and leadership. Students must earn faculty recommendations, complete service hours, and teach martial arts classes, reflecting not only physical skill but also character formation, discipline, and perseverance. Congratulations, Diego and Raphael!
