Strake Jesuit is a Catholic, all boys college preparatory school for grades 9 to 12 that serves a community of young men committed to being Religious, Loving, Open to Growth, Intellectually Competent, and Committed to Doing Justice. Strake Jesuit was founded in 1960 by the New Orleans Province of the Society of Jesus, a religious order of priests and brothers also known as the Jesuits. The Jesuits

came to what was then far southwest Houston to found an institution that would teach and shape young men to live and work for the greater glory of God.

Congratulations to Logan Warner ’26 on being this year’s Todd Maddox Memorial Scholarship recipient! This year’s finalists included Daniel Estrada ’26 and Wesley Stewart ’26. The scholarship was established in 2000 to honor the memory of Todd Joseph Maddox ’99. Its purpose is to recognize an exceptional graduating senior who has consistently developed and lived a Christ-like attitude throughout his time at Strake Jesuit, thus serving as a role model among his peers. Jesuit Martial Arts adds two new black belts: Diego Adams ’26 and Raphael Nguyen ’26! Earning a black belt requires four years of dedicated training, skill development, and leadership. Students must earn faculty recommendations, complete service hours, and teach martial arts classes, reflecting not only physical skill but also character formation, discipline, and perseverance.
