Nursing science plays an important role in the Texas Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), which was recently awarded $9.3 million from the National Institutes of Health. The CFAR is a partnership between Baylor College of Medicine, UTHealth Houston, and the Texas Biomedical Research Institute. Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston Dean Diane Santa Maria will continue to as director of the center’s Development Core, and Assistant Professor Higinio Fernández-Sánchez has been appointed associate director of the Community Engagement Research Core. https://go.uth.edu/CFAR-HIV
