🎡🎢🎠🎟️Planning is officially underway for our NHE Fall Family Fest, taking place Friday, October 16 from 5:00–8:00 PM, in the NHE parking lot!

This year, we are moving away from the traditional “Fall Faire” format and creating a more relaxed, high-energy fall family celebration designed to bring our NHE community together for an evening of fun, food, and connection.

Our current plans include:

Face painting
Balloon artists
DJ and music
Inflatables
Rides
Local food trucks
Dunk tank
Sweet treats
Plenty of community and family fun!
This PTA sponsored Family Engagement event is FREE to all NHE families. Wristbands will be required for entry.

We are excited to make this a fun, memorable evening for our Knights and their families and are looking forward to building this event together. 🎡🎠🎢🎟️

📚💙We’re excited to welcome our grandparents on 9/28 to NHE for a special opportunity to spend time with their grandchildren during our Book Fair!

Grandparents will have the opportunity to shop the Book Fair with their student or students during their specials time and then enjoy refreshments and special time together!💙📚

A Note for Families:
This is a Grandparent-Only Event. Due to limited space, we ask that parents/guardians please not attend unless their presence is necessary. A maximum of two adult guests per child may attend.

♟️♟️Chess Club is back by popular demand and returning this fall with the first meeting for those not attending the August tournament after school in September (date depending on level) in the NHE Library!

Sponsored by SBS Chess, the program is open to all SBISD students in 3rd grade and up, with younger students considered individually. NHE offers beginner, intermediate, advanced, and free play sessions throughout the week after school until 4:00 p.m. No prior experience is needed for beginner groups and all materials are provided.

Families can view schedules at sbschess.org/schedule and register at register.sbschess.org!

📣🐾 Calling all NHE Dads, Grandfathers, etc! This one is for you! Watch D.O.G.S volunteer time slots will open on Wednesday, August 26th at 9AM! 📣🐾

Set those alarms and mark your calendar! 🗓️

Make sure you have a login for the Membership Toolkit (our PTA website) and apply to be an approved SBISD. (Do this before 8/26)

You do not need to be a PTA member to create an account or volunteer(… but you know we are always needing more member sign ups!)

Then sign up for your time slot on 8/26!

Although the NHE SPARK Park area is currently closed, some students and families have still been entering the space despite posted signage and locked gates. Dr. Wright has asked that we help remind our community to please respect the closure and avoid entering the SPARK Park area over the next two weeks.
