🌳 Kujawa Elementary is growing a greener future! Through Trees for Texans, native Texas trees were planted on campus to create shaded areas, cool the surroundings and provide healthier spaces for students to play and enjoy outdoor activities.

We’re grateful to H-E-B Trees for Texans for investing in Kujawa Elementary and helping create a more welcoming outdoor environment for our students and community.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Active Shooter Training Exercise

Aldine ISD wants to make our community aware of a planned active shooter training exercise taking place at MacArthur High School on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

📅 Date: Wednesday, October 14, 2026
⏰ Time: 7 to 11 a.m.
📍 Location: MacArthur High School
4400 Aldine Mail Rte Rd, Houston, TX 77039

During the exercise, community members may notice an increased presence of law enforcement, fire department personnel, and emergency medical services. Numerous emergency vehicles and a school bus will be on-site, and loud noises associated with the training may be heard.

Please do not be alarmed. This is a planned training exercise, not an actual emergency.

We appreciate our community's understanding as first responders participate in this important training to strengthen emergency preparedness and response.

Tomorrow is Pink Out Wednesday! 💗 On Oct. 14, pull out your pink and go wild from head to toe! Wear your pink shirts, skirts, dresses, shoes, sweaters, socks, ties, blazers and hair bows. Jeans are welcome, too!

As we have fun with Pink Out Wednesdays, let’s remember what the pink represents: the people we love who are fighting breast cancer, survivors, families walking alongside loved ones and those whose memories we carry with us. Share your Pink Out photos and celebrations with us!

Escamilla Elementary is celebrating the arrival of a new Yellow Library! 📚 Through a partnership with FirstBook, H-E-B and the Kendra Scott Foundation, students now have access to brand-new, diverse and bilingual books that reflect different cultures and experiences. The community partners also presented the school with a $1,000 check toward the school’s literacy efforts. Thank you to these amazing sponsors!

🍂 A reminder that Aldine ISD will be on fall break Oct. 12-16. This applies to our ADSY students as well. We hope our students enjoy a chance to rest, recharge and spend time with friends and family. We look forward to welcoming everyone back Monday, Oct. 19!

Homecoming tradition was on full display at W.W. Thorne Stadium on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 3, as Davis High School took on Aldine High School in District 14-6A football action! During an electric halftime presentation, the Falcons proudly announced their 2026 Homecoming Court and honored dedicated campus teachers.
Join us in celebrating this year’s royalty:

• Junior Prince & Princess: Jordan Richard and Zakaya Evans
• Sophomore Duke & Duchess: Jodey Ross and Amanda Hernandez
