The Student Government Association will be giving out one thousand dollar scholarships to ten deserving students at our Annual closing Scholarship Gala. The Gala will be held in the Tiger Room on Wednesday May 2nd, 2012 at 7pm.

All candidates must be present when the scholarship recipients are announced. It is our hope to continue the tradition of supporting and encouraging our student constituency in their quest to be exemplary Tigers. The essay is not to exceed two pages. The prompt is below:

"Discuss your current contributions to Texas Southern Universities academic, social and cultural development. Please include any organization affiliations, community service projects, volunteer experiences and independent research that you feel has shaped the overall identity of the university."

You are required to submit one letter of recommendation from a member of the TSU faculty, staff or administration.

Application Deadline EXTENSION:

All Applications are due promptly on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 5:00pm.

Applications must be submitted to Room 210

This campaign is geared towards encouraging you all to get registered for the upcoming summer and fall semesters.
