UHCL is building momentum. 📈

This fall, more students are choosing the University of Houston-Clear Lake to begin their college journey or continue toward their degree.

🎓 17% increase in first-time freshmen from Fall 2025
↗️ 7.5% increase in transfer enrollment
🏆 Largest incoming transfer class since 2021
📚 More than 1,500 new undergraduates

And the momentum extends beyond enrollment.

In the 2027 Niche College Rankings, UHCL climbed to:

Weather Update: All University of Houston-Clear Lake locations are open today, and operations will continue as scheduled. Please prioritize your safety and use your best judgment before traveling. If local weather conditions or school closures affect your commute:

A clearer path to UHCL is coming for eligible Dickinson ISD students. 🎓

University of Houston-Clear Lake and Dickinson ISD have launched a new Guaranteed Admission partnership, creating a direct pathway to a four-year degree for eligible students beginning with the Fall 2027 application cycle.

This first-of-its-kind district partnership reflects UHCL’s commitment to expanding access, affordability, and opportunity for students across our region. With UHCL’s expanded Hawk Promise program potentially covering tuition and mandatory fees for qualifying Texas students, the path to UHCL is becoming clearer and more affordable.

UHCL expands Hawk Promise eligibility, opening tuition-free pathway to more Texas families. 🦅

Beginning with the Fall 2027 application cycle, the University of Houston-Clear Lake will raise the Hawk Promise income threshold from $65,000 to $100,000, extending tuition and mandatory fee coverage to a broader range of first-time and transfer students.

The change reflects UHCL's ongoing commitment to college affordability and access across the region.

Aiman Fatima left high school at 15, moved to Pakistan, learned Urdu, passed 14 board exams, returned to the United States, and started over completely. Today she is preparing to graduate from UHCL while supporting federal procurement within the NASA Johnson Space Center ecosystem. 🎓🚀

Nobody handed her a clear path. She built one, one opportunity at a time.

Through UHCL's Office of Strategic Partnerships, campus involvement, and mentors who believed in her, Aiman discovered a career in aerospace she never knew was possible.

"My story is proof that where there is a will, there is a way," she said.
