Houston ISD Medicaid Medicaid Finance & Consulting Services (MFCS) is a division of the Houston Independent School District (HISD).

School districts are require to provide necessary services to each of their students with special needs. However, when school districts look for additional funds to help them meet their obligations to special educations students, they often overlook an important funding source, Medicaid School and Health Related Services (SHARS). SHARS is a Medicaid program designed to allow school districts to r

eceive reimbursement for health services delivered to Special Education students who are Medicaid eligible. MFCS provides districts with eSHARS, an online system that allows your Service Providers and Managers to easily enter visits that will be sent electronically to Medicaid.
