Alief Hicks Elementary School
Alief ISD is a high-performing, comprehensive K-12 public school district. Howard J. Since then, his name has been synonymous with Alief.
Hicks Elementary School was named after Howard Hicks, a World War II veteran. He moved to Alief from Beaumont to handle public relations for the Alief Chamber of Commerce. Howard Hicks was described as a believer in youth, a champion for education, and a man whose integrity was without question.
