June 15th is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD). For 20 years, WEAAD has increased awareness about elder abuse recognition and prevention.

This June, we're sharing information and resources on how to identify, stop, and prevent elder abuse including:

What a wonderful evening with the Houston Gerontological Society!

Last night, we gathered at The Pegasus Landing at Tanglewood for an engaging and informative presentation by attorney Kathleen Wiesenthal on Smart Aging: Legal Tools Everyone Should Know. Attendees gained valuable insights on planning ahead and making informed decisions to support aging with confidence and peace of mind.
As we celebrate 40 years of service this year, HGS is excited to continue growing, connecting professionals, and providing meaningful educational opportunities for those who serve older adults in our community.
