Due to continued widespread power outages and hazardous road conditions throughout the CFISD community, along with the potential for additional inclement weather, CFISD will remain closed Wednesday, Feb. 17 and Thursday, Feb. 18. No remote learning will occur, and CFISD will apply for missed school day emergency waivers from the Texas Education Agency for these days. In addition, all extracurricular activities are canceled through Thursday evening, and playoff games will be rescheduled.

As we continue to monitor the situation, plans for Friday, Feb. 19 will be communicated no later than Thursday, Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. Stay tuned to the district website, social media, and SchoolMessenger for updates. Please stay safe and warm!

All CFISD schools and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16 due to inclement weather that is expected in the Houston area.

Elementary parents may make changes to students' learning option for the 3rd grading period between Jan. 11-17. A follow-up letter will be sent on Jan. 11 with instructions on how to make the change.
