2024 Workshops: I am adding several new workshops to the menu of options I provide my clients. This weather today gives me a chance to play with making pewter plant labels.

I offer 45 workshops ranging from soil building to writing poetry in the garden. Our program is responsive to what our clients need and want. I am so thankful to be able to work in that way!

On my last day of holidays I made name boards for my chickens and organised my chook shed. I love an upcycle project and grabbed these shelves from council clean up. Only problem was there were no flat shelf pieces so I made some using scrap wood. Yay for time for projects!

I LOVE summer Christmas. Mangoes, cherries, stonefruit, pavlova, cicadas, beach days and barbecues. I love twinkle lights and glitter and shimmer. I love lingering over coffee and yummy food with my loves and my friends. I am sooo thankful.

It's marmalade day!!! I picked my kumquats last weekend, prepped them yesterday, and made marmalade today. This is one of my favorite joys in life!

Tips for coping with extreme heat in the garden: cover vulnerable plants with shadecloth. New seedlings, young avocados, plants recently pruned could all use some cover. Water deeply before and after a heat event. Mulch all soil, leaving no bare earth. Stay safe today gardeners!

What is this capsule that imitates the shape of the seed capsule of my Corymbia ficifolia? It even has what looks like a plaited cord holding it in place, and a tassle out the base. Sooo cool!
