Happy Graduation Day BOS Seniors! 🎉🎓

We brought the past and future together in the most beautiful way. ✨ Our kindergarten SPARKS joined the seniors of Brays Oaks Secondary for a special Time Machine experience — reminding us all that time may pass, but dreams, memories, and love continue to connect generations. There is something truly special about seeing our youngest learners alongside students preparing for their next chapter in life. A powerful reminder that every journey begins with a spark, and every spark has the potential to shine brightly into the future. Happy Graduation Day, BOS Class of 2026. 🎉🎓

Today was more than brunch.

It was the final day of duty for the 2025–2026 school year, and if there was any work left for us to do, it was this: to pause, look around the room, and celebrate the family we’ve become.

Founding a school is not for the faint of heart. There were long days, hard conversations, unexpected challenges, countless pivots, and moments when the finish line felt far away. There were highs that filled our hearts and lows that tested our resolve. Yet through it all, this team showed up.

You showed up for one another.
You showed up for our students.
You showed up for our families.

Together, we built more than a school. We built a home.

A place where children are known, loved, challenged, and celebrated. A place where staff support staff. A place where families can trust that their children are in caring hands. A place that did not exist a year ago, but now stands because of the commitment, sacrifice, talent, and heart of every person in this photo.

As we close our founding year, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. What we accomplished together cannot be measured only in data, systems, or milestones. It lives in the relationships we built, the culture we created, and the lives we changed.

Home Sweet Brays will always begin with us.

Here’s to the highs, the lows, the laughter, the tears, the lessons, and the legacy of Year One.

This month’s Wellness Wednesday theme is strategies for effective stress management as we wrap up the school year.

The final days of school can feel exciting, overwhelming and exhausting all at once. Taking care of your mental wellness is important during times of transition and change.

Here are a few strategies to help manage stress:
🧠 Identify what may be causing stress and give yourself time to reflect
🎧 Make time for activities that help you recharge and relax
🚶 Build healthy habits through movement, rest and balanced meals
💬 Reach out for support when things start to feel overwhelming

As summer begins, remember to slow down, reset and make space for rest. Small steps can make a big difference.

Houston’s soccer spirit is taking over the city and YES Prep is joining the celebration this weekend at Copa Univision! ⚽🔥

Families are invited to stop by the YES Prep booth at Houston Sports Park for a day filled with community, games, giveaways, and soccer fun as excitement builds around the World Cup coming to Houston.

YES Prep student athletes will be onsite representing their campuses and showcasing championship trophies during the event. Visitors can test their skills at our soccer challenge, meet the team, learn more about YES Prep schools across Houston, and enter for a chance to win official World Cup soccer balls and jerseys.

The founding ✨Sparkaliers Dance Team✨ officially hit the stage for the first time at the 2026 YES Prep Senior Signing Day, and they did amazing! From practices to performances, these girls have worked so hard, and today was a reflection of that dedication, teamwork, and sparkle. Seeing them perform with so much confidence and joy made this moment even more special.

This is just the beginning for our girls — keep shining bright, Sparkaliers!👯‍♀️
