🚌💛 Our Houston Public Schools Bus Drivers Are Ready to Roll! 💛🚌

As we prepare to welcome students back to school, we're proud to recognize our incredible bus drivers who work every day to get our students to and from school safely.

🚍 Families, please help us keep everyone safe by reviewing these important reminders with your child:
• Arrive at the bus stop 5–10 minutes early.
• Stay at least 10 feet back from the curb while waiting.
• Wait for the driver to signal before crossing in front of the bus.
• Never walk behind the bus.
• If you drop something near the bus, tell the driver—don't try to pick it up yourself.

🚗 Drivers: Remember that when a school bus has its stop arm extended and red lights flashing, you must stop. Together, we can help keep every child safe.

Walking together for mental wellness! 👟💛 This morning, staff took part in the HHS Hope Squad SMILE Walk—a meaningful time to connect with colleagues and reflect on our action toward su***de prevention. 💭🌱

Hope Squad was brought to life through a grant inspired by Aidan's Light. 🕯️❤️ As the current funding comes to an end this school year, our group of student leaders are already working hard on fundraising to keep HOPE Squad alive.🎓💫

📢UPDATE: Hope Squad has raised $724 toward their $6,000 goal!🎉

If you would like to help support this wonderful group, you can Venmo Lisa Skifton, or donate by cash or check. Checks can be made payable to Houston High School with “Hope Squad” in the memo line.
