🚒🔥 Fire Safety Week Wrap-Up at Houston Elementary School! 🔥🚒

What a great week of learning about fire safety at Houston Elementary! ❤️

Throughout the week, our students learned important fire safety tips, discussed what to do in an emergency, and practiced their skills during a school fire drill. We wrapped up the week with a special visit to the Houston Fire Station, where students in all grades had the opportunity to learn more about fire safety and the important work our firefighters do to keep our community safe! 🚒👨‍🚒

A HUGE shoutout to the Houston Fire Department for welcoming our students, sharing valuable information, and helping make fire safety learning meaningful and fun! We are so grateful for your time and dedication to our school and community. ❤️

A special thank-you to Mr. Brandon Olson, who also came to Houston Elementary to enjoy lunch with our kindergarten, first-grade, and second-grade students! Our students loved this special opportunity to connect with one of our community’s everyday heroes. 🍎🚒

Thank you, Houston Fire Department, for helping our Hurricanes learn how to stay safe and for being such wonderful role models in our community!

Please take a few minutes to complete your Educational Benefits Form. These forms provide important information that helps support student programs, services, and funding for Houston Public Schools.

⚠️ This year, we did not qualify for Title I services because we did not have enough completed forms to report to the state. Every completed form makes a difference and helps us better support our students!

📚 Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences — Sign Up Now! 🍎

Houston Elementary School’s Fall Parent-Teacher Conference sign-up is now available through PTCFast!

We look forward to connecting with families, sharing your child’s progress, celebrating successes, and discussing ways we can continue to support their learning and growth. ❤️

📅 Fall Conference Date: Monday, November 2nd
⏰ Conference times may vary by teacher, but conferences will generally begin around 8:30 a.m. and conclude around 6:30 p.m.

📌 A Few Important Notes

📚 Mrs. McCormick’s 1st Grade Class
Conferences for Mrs. McCormick’s class will be held on Wednesday, October 14th, rather than November 2nd.

🏫 5th & 6th Grade
The 5th and 6th grade team will not have individual conference sign-up times. Instead, they will offer open house, drop-in-style conferences. Families may stop in during the designated open house time to connect with teachers.
