Alief ISD is a high performing, comprehensive K-12 public school district. The school was originally called Alief Elementary School.
The 2016-2017 school year will be the 52nd anniversary of Cynthia Youens Elementary School. In 1964 the school was renamed after Cynthia Youens a third grade teacher who taught in Alief for 20 years.
