Humble ISD will be CLOSED on Tuesday, September 1, due to the potential impacts of Tropical Depression Five. Meteorologists informed the district that our area could experience heavy rainfall and possible street flooding Tuesday afternoon, beginning at approximately 1 to 3 p.m.
Safety is the highest priority in Humble ISD. Closing prevents student drivers, school buses, parents and staff members from being caught in hazardous road conditions at school dismissal time when the storm could impact our area. Athletic contests (middle school football games, middle school volleyball games, high school volleyball games) are cancelled/postponed on Tuesday due to the weather forecast.
Employees should not report to work on Tuesday unless directed to do so by their supervisor. The district will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout Tuesday. An update will be provided to parents and staff by email and text message and posted on the district website Tuesday evening.
