I used to fret and worry about the things that happened to me, even long after they were gone.
I let the past weigh me down so much that it ruined some of my future.
Instead of being able to enjoy my days and be happy, worry held me back all too often.
I’m done living that way.
I’m choosing to let go of the baggage from yesterday to embrace with open arms the hope for tomorrow.
I’ve realized that while everything happens for a reason, I don’t have to stay in those moments, drowning in the storm.
Truthfully, I don’t always have the energy to dance in the rain, but it doesn’t mean I can’t stand strong and wait for it all to pass.
Maybe it’ll be a while before I understand why some things change while others stay the same.
But that’s okay, I don’t have to all the answers all the time.
I’m okay with learning what I can, growing stronger every day and evolving whenever and however I can.
The journey of life isn’t about rushing to where you’re going, but enjoying the people, places and moments along the ways.
So, I’m turning the page and letting go of the need to fixate on problems and worrying about what has happened, what can happen and what may happen.
I’m choosing to stop existing and start living.
I’m going to do my best to find the joy in my life and the beauty in the moments..
There’s always going to be hard days, but I don’t have to let the hard days change me or bring me down.
No, I’m better than that.
Today, I choose to be more than what I was- I’m not content to simply survive my life.
I want to fall in love with being alive, whenever and however I can.
Starting with now, starting with me.
It’s all up to me, and I know one thing for sure:
I got this..and I always will.
