Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence is about learning through movement and hands-on experiences. When children move, touch, build, and explore, they are using their bodies to interact with the world around them and make sense of new ideas.

Movement is more than an opportunity to be active. Movement-based learning can support attention, memory, and academic development, helping children stay focused and make meaningful connections as they learn.

For young children, this can look like stacking and building, dancing to music, exploring sensory materials, practicing fine motor skills, or using their whole bodies to participate in an activity. Each experience gives children another way to learn by doing.

At Ivy Kids, bodily-kinesthetic learning is incorporated throughout the day through hands-on classroom activities, music and movement, sensory exploration, and outdoor play. These experiences give children opportunities to move with purpose while building skills that support learning and development.

Giving your child small, age-appropriate responsibilities can create meaningful opportunities to build confidence, independence and responsibility.

At Ivy Kids Early Learning Center, social-emotional development is intentionally supported through everyday classroom experiences. Children receive age-appropriate classroom jobs—such as leading a song, helping clean up or turning off the lights—so they can practice contributing to their classroom community.

These meaningful responsibilities help children see that their efforts matter and give them opportunities to build independence, confidence and pride in their work.

🏠 Try this at home: Give your child one simple, age-appropriate responsibility, such as putting away toys, feeding a pet or placing napkins on the table. Acknowledge the specific effort: “You remembered your job and helped our family. Thank you!”

Small responsibilities create meaningful opportunities for children to feel capable, helpful and valued.

At Ivy Kids Early Learning Center, we have a dedicated Enrichment Coordinator focused specifically on bringing STEAM, Spanish and more to life for our students.

As part of our research-based MultiPrep® curriculum, children regularly explore science, technology, engineering, art and math—or STEAM—through thoughtfully planned, age-appropriate experiences. The Enrichment Coordinator prepares and leads these activities, giving children meaningful opportunities to ask questions, experiment, solve problems and discover new interests.

It is a dedicated role with an important purpose: making enrichment a consistent, engaging part of every child’s Ivy Kids experience.

How do children learn to be kind, understand others’ feelings and make positive choices?

At Ivy Kids, these important skills begin early. Through our World Changers® character development program, children learn what it means to be kind, compassionate, respectful and responsible—at a level that is meaningful for their age.

Through stories, classroom conversations, cooperative play and hands-on opportunities to help others, children practice how to:
💙 Recognize and express feelings
💙 Show kindness and empathy
💙 Share, cooperate and solve problems
💙 Take responsibility for their choices
💙 Discover that even small actions can make a difference

From comforting a friend to helping in the classroom or participating in a community service project, our students learn that they do not have to wait until they are grown to make the world a better place.

World Changers® helps children build the character, confidence and compassion they need to thrive—today and throughout their lives.
