The Calm Kit isn’t just for kids—it’s for families.

One rough day at home, emotions were running high. Out of nowhere, my son walked into the room holding the Calm Kit. He sat down beside me and asked, “How do you feel, Mommy?”

I paused, realizing the gift he was offering—a moment to connect. I pointed to the card that matched how I felt: frustrated.

He listened, nodded, and then held up a different card: confused.

“Why confused?” I asked.

He thought for a moment and said, “I’m confused about how this problem got so big.”

His honesty floored me. That simple moment of naming our feelings and talking about them shifted the energy between us. What started as a tough moment turned into a shared experience of understanding.

This is exactly why I created the Calm Kit—to help kids (and parents) build emotional intelligence, practice mindfulness, and find connection, even when things feel hard.

The Calm Kit has been such a gift in our home, and I’m so excited to share its relaunch with you.

Letter mats can be a great tool for kids who are learning the alphabet. They can be used in a variety of ways to help kids learn letters and practice letter recognition.

👉 Here are some ideas for using letter mats with kids:

🔸 Letter Matching: Print out two sets of letter mats and have the child match the uppercase and lowercase letters together.

🔸 Sensory Play: Use letter mats with playdough or sensory bins. Have the child form the letters with playdough or find the letters hidden in the sensory bin.

🔸 Alphabet Order: Have the child put the letter mats in alphabetical order.

🌸 POP-UP SPRING MARKET ALERT 🌸

Spring is in the air, and I’m excited to announce that I’ll be joining in the upcoming pop-up spring market! Join us on April 1 from 10 to 4 at for a fun-filled day of shopping, food, and community.

My booth will feature a variety of products including, my resin letters, numbers, letter mats, and the much anticipated NUMBER MAT! All are so perfect for gifting during the Easter season.

The market will also feature a variety of local vendors and other fun activities. It's the perfect opportunity to support small businesses and give big to , as well as enjoy the beautiful spring weather.

Small business Saturday story time.

Resin letters? Why? How? And everything in between that took me on this journey to this crazy resin letter business.

1. My whole life I’ve surrounded myself with teaching children. From elementary school teaching to dance team coaching to pool managing, my love of educating is authentic in my heart. My greatest knowledge of literacy and learning came during my time as a 1st and 2nd grade reading interventionist. It was also during this work that I came to find my path as a school counselor.

2. During my time in grad school, I worked hard on a research assignment that utilized play therapy techniques in the elementary school classroom and counseling program. The research and manuscript were later submitted and published in the International Journal of Play Therapy. Google it and you should be able to read the whole manuscript. Can’t find it? Message me. I’d love to provide any educator, counselor or parent the article.

3. I’m a Certified Daring Way Facilitator … certified to teach and train Brene Brown’s work with students and clients.

4. I started all of this work on the Calm Kits, as a former child therapist just trying to help parents get through working at home, during a pandemic, with their small children. It was a labor of love designed to introduce kids to play based activities that increase their ability to identify and understand their emotions, all while helping them practice mindfulness and calming life skills. As I adopted more sensory play and learning into my own little ones daily pandemic activities, I was inspired to create educational tools that parents could once again use to help bridge the pandemic gap.

5. My sensory Resin Letters were designed and curated by my inner artist (and fine arts minor). I wanted my letter sets to be used by kiddos in sensory bins, at home and education learning activities, practice with letter and sound recognition, sight word and spelling practice, play dough kits and so much more. My inspiration to create comes from the mamas seeking my products and help. I am truly inspired to make unique designs that spark your child’s interest and abilities.

Always thankful for clients who challenge me to think creatively! So many of you have asked that my lowercase alphabet be zaner-bloser script and not with the “fancy a” and confusing orientation of the b, d, p, q, u, and n. There were also remarks that the lowercase letters were almost too small for little hands.

Ask and you shall receive! I have thicker, Zaner-Bloser script lowercase sets that will slowly replace ALL lowercase sets. Same price, but much much better.

So a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone helping to push my creative problem solving every day!!
