Your Kindness Does Wonders And You Can Make It Go Further This Giving Season As a part of our 10 for 10 campaign -- $1,000 for each of the 10 years we've been in business this year -- TJSH is partnering with the Texas Children's Houston Open Birdies for Charity, presented by Chevron. Birdies for Charity will match 5% for every dollar donated to The Journey School of Houston.

The first day of school brings a mix of excitement and nerves for returning TJSH students. Lots of things change during the hot months of summer break, and while we are all apart. Students grown taller, have new experiences traveling to new places, and learn all sorts of things at summer camps…

But some things endure through the heat of summer. Friendships started and grown in the classroom remain. Personal long term goals started in the winter months (like reading the trilogy in its entirety!), and the grit it takes to achieve them, are brought back over the threshold of the classroom, year after year. The TJSH student doesn’t lose their creativity, but brings it back with them to put to good use, creating things that are “pretty much perfect!”.
