Gift bags filled with personalized cards and child art for each classroom, an additional goodie bag for all staff and a catered mexican food lunch! An extra big thank you to all families who helped us feel so loved and appreciated this week!

Feeling extra appreciated during this Blossom Heights Teacher Appreciation week. Breakfast buffet, customized goodie bags and lunch break massages - and the week isn’t even over yet! Thank you so much to our families who donated and organized to make this happen!

Thank you to all families who showed up for our Fall Family Work Day here at Blossom Heights Child Development Center. It takes a whole village to keep our school grounds a place of beauty and wonder for all who walk through our gates.

Lots of fun was had at Blossom Heights Child Development Center's Fall Festival. We celebrated with live music, snacks, okra painting provided by Plant It Forward Farms and fellowship!

Blossom Heights staff had a week full of professional development and cohesive planning. We’re all looking forward to a year filled with wonder and growth.

The last day of Summer camp calls for a garden harvest! We enjoyed 2 sugar baby watermelons and some okra that we breaded and air fried.

We hosted a wonderful End of School party at Blossom Heights last Friday: snowcones, watercolor provocations, giant bubbles and fun!

If anyone is looking to adopt a dog, there are 2 in our Blossom Heights community that are looking for a good home. One is a 2 year old black lab-mix and the other, a 6 month old white mix. Please leave a comment for more information.

Many of you likely recognize Uncle Jumbo as a parent here at Blossom Heights, but did you know he’s also a musician who performs children’s songs and dances centered around joy - kindness - and connection?

Volunteer pumpkins have taken over front lawn this Summer. We harvested 15 with our pre-k classes today and are hoping for another round in the next few weeks!

Tomato season is upon us at Blossom Heights. Please stop by the upper school garden to pick some toppings for your dinner salad this week!

Parents are the first teachers of their child, and we value having them volunteer their time here at Blossom Heights Child Development Center. Last Saturday we hosted our biannual Family Work Day and spent the morning laying flagstone, moving mulch, and working in our gardens and outdoor spaces. Thank you to all who help us make this the school it is each day!

Big thank you to parent volunteers adding trellises to our vegetable garden last week. We still have lots of lettuce available for salads, stop by and pick up to accompany your dinner this evening!

Our children have grown lots of black seeded lettuce in our vegetable garden this month. It’s ready to harvest and take home for dinner, please stop by and cut some at pick up this week.

Our Blossom Heights staff have attended two professional development days in the past month. At one, diving deeper into the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the other, spending time with a potter from Foelber Pottery Gallery & Studios exploring clay.

So much joy making sugar cookies earlier this week and even more fun eating them this morning for our Pajama and Hot Chocolate day!
