Skateboarding (and other action sports) involve a range of scientific concepts. An experiment in which the goal is not to reproduce some "known" result from the lab section of a text book. Its a real science experiment in which the experimentor (who is often the experiment) wants to learn something about the world and is willing to actively work to get the knowledge. An appreciation of science and

scientific experimentation in the real world is at the heart of SK8 Lab. The artistic nature of skating also brings in artists who can help convey the experimental results in a powerfull way.
