Dear Esperanza Families,

We wanted to reach out early to help everyone plan ahead. Due to the possibility of icy roadway conditions, Esperanza School WILL BE CLOSED on Monday, January 26th. While we know that the weather can change quickly, we feel it is best to make this decision in advance to ensure the safety of our families and staff.
In addition to road conditions, we must also confirm that the school has stable power and running water before welcoming children back to campus. Taking this extra precaution ensures we can provide a safe, warm, and fully functional environment for everyone.
At this time, we plan to reopen on Tuesday, January 27, at 9:00 am, with curbside service beginning at 9:00 am and ending at 10:00 am. This delayed opening will allow our staff to travel safely and allow us time to verify that the campus is ready for a smooth return.
We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we navigate unpredictable winter weather together. Our goal is always to prioritize safety while keeping disruptions to a minimum, and we are grateful for your partnership in helping us do just that.
Should there be any changes to our plan, we will be sure to communicate them to you as promptly as possible via email, BAND, and Facebook.

Hey Esperanza Families

Just a heads-up—a winter storm is expected to roll in on Sunday! The day will be chilly, with lows around 31°F and highs only reaching 46°F. We don’t expect any school closures, but it’s always good to stay ahead of the game.

Take a moment this weekend to prep your home and car—think warm blankets, a good book, and maybe some hot cocoa!

Dear Parents,

Due to tropical storm Beryl, we will be closed on Monday, July 8th. As we have monitored the movement of the storm over the last few days, we know that it will move into the hurricane stage soon. As these storms can be unpredictable, we have made the decision to close. It is estimated that we will be receiving at least 5 to 10 inches of rain and some strong winds as the storm moves past us tomorrow in the early morning hours on Monday. The rains are scheduled to continue through to early evening.

We plan reopen on Tuesday, July 9th at our usual time pending any flooding, or power outages. For updates, please look to Facebook and your classroom's BAND page for changes.

We kicked off National Children’s Dental Health Month with Ms. Yvette visiting schools and daycares in our area.
