Ok, who in the Class of ‘66 remembers Gary Nitte? He was part of our class from Kindergarten till about 3rd grade. Well, he and I have been great friends since the mid-‘70’s, along with his wife Carol - they are my daughter’s godparents. So, Texas flew to Florida and part of the trip was spent day drinking with the Nitte’s!! In Mount Dora FL on 9/30/21. What a great time with old friends!!

We lost a “family member” yesterday, June 26th - MaryBeth DeSarro LaNeve, wife of Rick LaNeve and sister of John DeSarro, both Mt. Carmel ‘66, found her final home with the Lord. Funeral arrangements are pending, and her Mass of Christian burial will be held sometime in the future at St. Mary if Mt. Carmel/ Blessed Sacrament Church in Utica, NY. We were so fortunate to have seen MaryBeth at our Mt. Carmel Class of 1966 50th Reunion in 2016, when we shared 2 beautiful days and countless memories with dear old friends who will never be forgotten. God Bless your soul MaryBeth - your Mt. Carmel family that you held so dear to your heart will continually pray for Rick, John and your entire family. ❤️🙏😥❤️🙏😥

I’ve never had just one either!! 🤣🤣

Did you know that one cannoli is actually called a cannolo? Although, I’ve never had to use that because I never have just one, at Egidio Pastry Shop 😉

My friends, I have gone retro old school this Easter. I am 1/2 Polish, and my favorite thing to do at Easter time was to follow Polish tradition and take a basket of food to Saint Stanislaus church to get blessed on Holy Saturday. On Easter Sunday, you would share your blessed food with all who passed through your door. Well, I have connected with the one Polish church here in the metro Houston area, and they continue the old tradition of blessing Easter baskets. So although I can't physically share my basket with you all, I share the thought - blessings to you all at this holy time of year. Happy Easter!!

Finally got my phone and Facebook back in sync. Wanted to make sure these pics were on this page, in honor of Joanne Jojo Gerace's mom, who recently passed.

My fellow Mt Carmelites, as I was going through my inheritance of old photos, papers and clippings, I came across some pics I knew I had, but had forgotten about. Here's a blast from the past..... enjoy!
