The Durham Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. Membership in PTA is open to anyone who wants to be involved and make a difference for the education, health, and welfare of children and youth.

For our Hispanic Heritage Night on October 8th, we’ll be having a “Mercado de Pulgas” and we’re looking for vendors from our community event! 🛍️🌮

If you have a small business or sell food, desserts, handmade items, jewelry, clothing, crafts, plants, or anything similar, we would *LOVE* to have you participate!

And if you know someone who might be interested in being a vendor, please share this invitation with them! 🙌

Staying informed is one of the best ways to advocate for our students and school! If you wish to register for public comment, speaker registration typically closes 24 hours prior to the meeting via the HISD Board of Education website (houstonisd.org/board-governance/board-meetings).

To kick off the school year, our PTA Hospitality team put together custom gift crates, sweet treats, and gift cards to celebrate all of our amazing teachers and staff with summer birthdays! 🧁🎁

Starting this month, we will be celebrating staff birthdays on the last Friday of every month. Help us drop some birthday love for our July and August celebrants in the comments below! 👇💙

📌 Need-to-Know Info:
• Grandparents Only: Reserved exclusively for grandparents during regular lunch times (separate from monthly grade-level lunches).
• VIPS Required: All visitors MUST be VIPS-approved before attending.
• RSVPs Coming Soon: School admin will send grade schedules and mandatory RSVP links via ParentSquare closer to the event.
