I have so many inspirations throughout my martial arts journey. I remember when Chen Bing visited Houston some years ago he helped me formulate the Chinese name for our Academy during one of our private lessons at Shi Yan Chan’s (the martial arts master formerly known as: Shi Xing Ying) school. Last week, Anna (the creator of our Ahlam Academy program) had the pleasure of hosting the “Great Gals of Cinco” for a private belly dance group lesson here at

Like their name, these ladies were great and talented and so much fun to teach.

They picked up the moves and combo she taught them so quickly.

It was such a wonderful opportunity to host their group and teach them a bit about this amazing dance art.

Finally! We have secured Saturday, February 19th, 7:30PM, at Crown Seafood Restaurant for our first ever Chen Style Taijiquan Lineage and Tudi Ceremony for the Blue Siytangco Taiji Kungfu Academy! Once again this is a lineage that spans 13 generations and over 400 years in an unbroken line of martial artists to the founder of our style: 9th Generation Chen Family Grandmaster, Chen Wangting.

This event is open to all students, friends, and family of the Blue Siytangco Taiji Kungfu Academy. So please RSVP ASAP if you would like to join us for the ceremony and Chinese banquet right after. The cost per person is $40. And the deadline for joining is February 11th. I can't wait to see y'all there!
