Dear parents and community,

For the 2026-2027 school year, our enrollment was projected by the district to be 1098, however, as of 10th day of classes, we have only reached 1032 students.

Because of this, the district has asked that we reduce our teaching staff to reflect the difference. Our solution to this need will be to relocate an 8th grade ELAR teacher, Ms. Maya Reyes, into a new role as our Making Connections Teacher. Mrs. Brittnay James will then be moving from 6th Grade ELAR to 8th grade ELAR to fill her spot. With Mrs. James’ move, 6th grade ELAR will be reorganizing classes to move forward.

To give our counselors the time they need to make these changes, the Klein Intermediate Open House event is being moved from Thursday, September 10th to Thursday, September 24th. The time will remain the same from 5:30 to 7:30.

We appreciate your understanding and your patience. Allowing us to make the changes will ensure that you are able to see any changes reflected accurately during your visit.

We look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Hands-on learning in action! ✍️✨

Our Sonday students are sharpening their reading and writing skills through tactile learning. By using textured materials to trace, shape, and finger-spell letters, they are connecting sounds to letters while building fine motor skills and muscle memory! 🧠📚

📚 The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming to School! 📚

Get ready to discover new books, cool stationery, and fun reads! Our Fall Book Fair will run from Monday, September 8 through Tuesday, September 15.

Two Ways to Participate:

Visit in Person: Parents are welcome to come shop during school hours or during our special family shopping times.

Send Money with Your Student: If you can't join us in person, you can send cash/check with your child or set up an eWallet online so they can shop independently with their class.

Dates: September 8th – September 15th

Location: School Library / Media Center
