Pulitzer Prize awarded to Rice history professor 05/05/2020

Rice professor wins Pulitzer Prize! Caleb McDaniel, associate professor of history, was awarded the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for History for his book Sweet Taste of Liberty. The Pulitzer jury called it "[a] masterfully researched meditation on reparations based on the remarkable story of a 19th century woman who survived kidnapping and re-enslavement to sue her captor."

Update on induction ceremony -- with the cancellation of the May commencement, our in-person induction ceremony is officially cancelled as well. During the first week of May, we will email more information, includes slides and videos to celebrate our new members' accomplishments.

Well, Rice's commencement has officially been cancelled (sorry, 'delayed indefinitely'). As a result, our chapter will not be holding a f2f induction ceremony this year. Please stay tuned for how we'll celebrate this year's new members.
