Pure joy this week was when these amazing high school seniors got together with teen artists in our zoom studio for an art party to make a colorful collection of masterpieces, share stories and lots of laughs! ❤️☀️🎨☀️❤️

Hello everyone! This past Saturday was our last day in our Times Boulevard studio! It was a gorgeous, sunny day in Houston. We had the joy of having our last lesson, painting bluebonnet masterpieces with two of our wonderful student artists. Our front doors were wide open, as we awaited the arrival of the movers. With change comes a hum of excitement mixed with fear of the unknown....and to our great surprise, a dragonfly flew in the front door! Miri and Avery said, 'Miss Jacqueline, it's a dragon fly! Look how big and beautiful it is! How amazing it flew right into the studio!' I replied, 'it mast have come in to see your beautiful bluebonnets!' When the girls finished their masterpieces and we said our good-byes, I googled the symbolism of dragonflies...they are so special they must symbolize something great. Of course they do as you see here.
Thank you to Miri and Avery for sharing this special moment with me, and to each and every artmix student and family who have been the most important part of artmix for the past 16 years, as well as all the members of our creative team. Together you have all filled artmix with creative joy and I am very grateful. We will continue together virtually until our new studio is ready.
