Jose “Pepe” had a great week with 5 consecutive aces in our scrimmage against Baker Ripley. Beyond game performance, he hustled every day in practice, showed up and was respectful during every interaction with teammates, coaches and managers. Pepe’s leadership skills are being sharpened every day and his team, coaches and East End Secondary are more successful because of it! Great job Pepe!
Our Athlete of the Week is team captain, Mayra Perez. Mayra dominates on the court with her passing skills, but shines even brighter off the court as a compassionate leader. Her empathy and kindness are admirable. Congratulations, Mayra!
Samantha Uribe had an outstanding week, finishing with 8 aces in a single match. She brings consistency and leads by example. Samantha’s timeliness and coachability led to a successful week for girls varsity volleyball.
Pablo had an outstanding performance on Friday, making a big impact throughout the game. He finished with 12 kills, 4 aces, 3 assists, and 1 dig, showing his ability to contribute in multiple areas. His strong serving and attacking helped keep the team’s energy high and put pressure on the opponent. Pablo’s hard work, focus, and consistency were a key part of the team’s performance.
