This Week on Wisdom Wednesday, we're revisiting a favorite episode from the archives. Dr. Michael Kruger, Samuel C. Patterson Chancellor’s Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity, answers the question “Should a pastor be an expert at everything?”
Pastors are often expected to have answers for every cultural, moral, and political question, but Dr. Kruger reminds us that this is not their calling. A pastor is not meant to be an expert in everything, but to be faithful in one central task, the study and teaching of God’s Word. Healthy ministry requires humility, focus, and the freedom to say, “I do not know everything about everything,” while remaining devoted to Scripture and the care of God’s people.
