🚨 ATTENTION, ATTENTION 🚨

Now that we’re back from Grapevine and the 50th Southwest Regional Conference, we have even more to celebrate!

Prior to Conference, we shared the incredible honors our chapter received during the virtual awards ceremony. This weekend, Houston Metropolitan Alumnae Chapter added two more regional recognitions to an already impressive list of accomplishments:

1st Place – Crimson Bowl Step Competition
The HMAC Step Team brought the energy, precision, creativity, and HMAC spirit to the stage and claimed the top spot in the Southwest Region! What an outstanding representation of our chapter.

2nd Place – Social Action: Exemplary Programming
Our Social Action Committee continues to lead with purpose, advocacy, and impact, demonstrating our commitment to empowering communities and advancing meaningful change.

These awards are a testament to the dedication, talent, and hard work of our members who continue to embody the mission of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. through service, scholarship, sisterhood, and social action.

Congratulations to our award-winning committees, step team, and every Soror whose contributions help make HMAC shine across the Southwest Region.

The accolades keep coming, and the work continues. HMAC is making an impact and the region is taking notice!

Our Social Action Committee would like to send a huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Boots on the Block efforts over the past few weeks. This work strengthens voting access and civic engagement—core to our commitment to social action and community empowerment.

Because of your dedication, the final Boots on the Block event scheduled for Saturday, May 23rd is canceled. We accomplished our goal.

Soror Jasmine Lynch-Williams is the embodiment of the Violet of the Year Award, a leader whose service runs deep and whose impact lasts long after the moment has passed.

Through wellness initiatives, her role as Courtesy Co-Chair alongside Soror Judy Smith, and her leadership of the Grants Committee alongside Sorors Nerissa Perkins and Karen Smith, she creates spaces of care, connection, and restoration that strengthen our chapter and secure its future.

Beyond our chapter walls, her work with Come Bee Well House and Educate Hearts reflects a commitment to service rooted in compassion and purpose, touching lives far and wide.

Soror Jasmine, your dedication to sisterhood and community is a gift to us all.
