A lot of people think removing a student’s name makes it okay to paste into ChatGPT.

If the information could still identify the student, it may still be protected under FERPA.

Things like grade level, disability, campus, behaviors, scores, or specific situations can still point back to a student.

AI can be helpful, but educators also need to know how to use it safely. 👀

Yesterday, I introduced myself, today I want you to meet the other half of Learning Index. 👇🏾

This is my husband, Keon.

Keon is a Teacher of the Visually Impaired and is currently working toward his certification as an Orientation & Mobility Specialist. He brings a perspective to special education that most diagnosticians rarely get to work alongside.

But behind the scenes at Learning Index, he's leading the charge on everything AI, how we use it responsibly in evaluation workflows, and how we can teach other diagnosticians and other special education professionals to do the same. Keon is also the architect of our workshop content around software that actually makes our jobs easier.

We built Learning Index together because we believe diagnosticians and SpEd professionals deserve better tools, better training, and a real community.
