Rice Taiwanese Association (RTA)

RTA is looking for volunteers for their annual Night Market! Night Market will be held on Saturday, April 13th from 6-9pm in Ray’s Courtyard & Central Quad.

By signing up to volunteer, you will be assigned to a committee that will assist in preparing/setting up for a part of Night Market. There are the Food, Games, Decoration, and Publicity committees to choose from! Each are headed by RTA officers who will hold meetings with y'all to plan the different aspects of Night Market.

Volunteers get a FREE TICKET to Night Market!! Volunteers are also REQUIRED to participate in shifts at Night Market and oversee different games, handle check-in, serve food, etc.

If you're in Taipei this Saturday and want a free lunch, come on down to Ming Chuan University where RTA will be hosting the Rice at Taiwan meetup! All alums, study abroad, and new students are invited to join us. We'll be in Room J407 at 10am, handing out free stickers and snacks and later walk over to Acme Bar and Cafe for lunch at 12pm. Happy summer everyone! On July 22, RTA is going abroad to Taipei for a Rice at Taiwan meetup. Study abroad students including Rice in Taiwan, Rice alums, current students, and the new Class of 2027 are all welcome to join us at 10am in Ming Chuan University- Jihe Campus and 12pm at Acme Cafe for lunch, sponsored by the OISS! FIRST EVENT OF THE YEAR! Come celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with us on Saturday, September 10th. We will be grilling meats outside the Multicultural Center from 3-5PM.

WE’RE BACK! GET HYPED! RTA’s first general body meeting is next Thursday, September 8th at 7pm! Come swing by to get a post-dinner snack, play Taiwanese games, and learn more about us. We’ll be in the Farnsworth Pavilion in the RMC! WE CAN’T WAIT TO MEET YOU ALL!

We are inviting you all to join us at Rice's annual Club Fair, which will be next Thursday, September 1st from 12-3pm @ RMC Grand Hall. We will have yummy Taiwanese snacks and information in the form of a poster board designed by some of our very own officers. We will also be there in-person to answer any questions you may have about RTA (or just to chat)!
