Dear parents and guardians,

Please review the attached STAAR testing schedule for the month of April. All students must arrive at school on time each day.

⏰ Students must be at school no later than 7:50 AM
📝 Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 AM

Being on time helps ensure your child is prepared, relaxed, and ready to do their best on testing days.

We are officially enrolling for the 2026–2027 school year! We are thrilled to announce our NEW Elementary School (Grades 1st–5th) alongside our established Middle School (Grades 6th–8th).

Our schools and offices will be closed on April 3, 2026, in observance of Good Friday.

Don't forget that NWEA MAP Testing is mandatory for ALL students from March 31 to April 2, 2026. 🎓🏫 Be sure to be present for testing tigers.

On March 30, 2026, there will be no school for students as it's a dedicated Teacher Service Day.

History has been made in the Third Ward, TX! We are bursting with pride to announce that our Lawson Academy Boys’ Basketball Team has officially been crowned REGIONAL CHAMPIONS! Our Scholars Athletes have shown the entire region the grit and grace of That Lawson Academy. These young men have played with the heart of a Tiger and the discipline of a champion.

To our players: You’ve carried the legacy of our founders, Rev. William A. & Audrey Lawson, to new heights, and you have proved that excellence is our standard, both in the classroom and on the court.

Just a quick reminder that school will be closed on Presidents Day. We hope your family enjoys the long weekend and has a chance to spend time together in a way that feels good.
