Yesterday, Dan Bolger successfully defended his dissertation, "Spatial and Cultural Dimensions of Social Service Access in Majority Black Neighborhoods." Here he is pictured (center) with his committee: Professors James Elliott, Rachel Kimbro, Elaine Howard Ecklund, and Alexander Byrd.

Jasmin is a Rice Sociology PhD student and a research assistant at the Houston Education Research Consortium. Jasmin's research focuses on understanding and reducing educational inequality.
