Established in 1980, the Montessori Learning Cottage is one of the oldest and most established schools caring for children children 6 weeks to 7 years old in West Houston/Galleria area. We were founded to provide early childhood education in a quality Montessori environment to a select group of children. Our first expansion took place in 1983 significantly increasing the size of our facility. In O
ctober of 1996, we moved to our present location. We welcome children between the ages of 6 weeks through 7 years. We dedicate ourselves not only to helping children develop their academic abilities but also their whole being. Children experience learning from basic skills appropriate to their developmental level through pre-school, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and beyond. A natural extension of the Montessori program is to assist children in developing mentally, physically and socially. Extended Day Program
The extended day program affords a comfortable environment in which each child is able to do what he or she might enjoy at home - have a snack, read, study, draw, paint and play with friends. All of these activities are done under careful supervision by our staff. Our Achievements
After leaving our program, children from the Montessori Learning Cottage enroll in some of the best schools in Houston - both public and private - such as Kinkaid, Duchesne, Second Baptist, and T.H. A number of children have also been accepted into several other magnet and charter schools across the city.
