Nadya has been teaching AP Precalculus and AP Calculus AB since 2009- helping students see that math doesn't have to be intimidating. But for years, she carried a quiet weight of her own. 💛

Despite teaching AP-level math successfully in the classroom, Nadya struggled with the Math 7–12 content certification exam. She'd convinced herself she just wasn't a good test taker.

This is your chance to complete a state-required program that sets you apart before you ever step into a classroom- integrated into your Teach Us coursework, at no additional cost.

A few things to know before you apply:

📅 Application window: May 1 - July 31, 2026
📅 Cohort runs: August 2026 - April 2027
📌 10 synchronous Saturday sessions (dates shared upon acceptance)
📌 Limited cohort - only a select group will be accepted
📌 Selected applicants notified by July 31, 2026

Applications for the 2026 Texas Reading Academy cohort open May 1, and spots are limited. Completing the Texas Reading Academy with Teach Us satisfies the state legislative requirement for Texas educators, and comes with some major advantages:

✅ Meets the state requirement for K–3 & Special Ed teachers
✅ Complete it before your first year of teaching- walk in job ready
✅ Integrated into Teach Us coursework, so it replaces select courses rather than adding to them
