This menu was much different than what we normally do here at HCC, but the students really enjoyed getting to work with modern hydrocolloid agents in their recipes this week.

Tonight, Culibary Arts students in the A la Carte Cooking class have traded in some of their traditional equipment for blender, scales, and strainer to put out a molecular-heavy menu for tonight’s service! They are excited to learn a little about alternative methods in food prep!

The visit with the River Oaks Country Club's (ROCC) leadership was a success! HCC Central's Leslie Landrey did a great job coordinating this visit and nurturing this relationship. The ROCC's COO, Executive Chef, HR Director, and a few others had an opportunity to tour the building, speak with instructors and enjoy lunch provided by the students. We discussed various partnerships, and they agreed to participate in a new employer engagement program I'm creating called - STAR Employers.
