One week in and already feeling like Mustangs! The Class of 2030 wrapped up their first week at Houston Christian, fresh off Camp Mustang, our annual freshman retreat built around one thing: Community. New friendships, real conversations, and a foundation that will carry them through the next four years. We love this class already. Welcome, Mustangs!

Every Mustang is called to lead. This week, our entire student body gathered for the Passport to Lead Ceremony, one of our favorite Houston Christian traditions. Our seniors welcomed the Class of 2030 with open arms; freshmen received their official Passport to Lead tees, and the torch was passed in the best way possible.

From clubs to fine arts to athletics and beyond, this is just the beginning. We cannot wait to watch every single one of our Mustangs step into the leaders they are meant to be!

Last weekend, our seniors headed to Camp Cho-Yeh Boxwoods on Lake Livingston for Senior Retreat, and it was everything. 🌲 From worship led by Michael Middleton to teaching and discussion with keynote speaker Dr. Pembleton, the weekend was designed to do what retreat is meant to do: slow down, go deeper, and remind each other why community matters. So grateful for the Class of 2027 and the memories they made together. 💙🐴

Sunrise with the Seniors is just one of the many ways we begin the school year together. 🌅 Yesterday, the Class of 2027 and their families gathered before the first bell to decorate cars, share time together, and pray over the year ahead. At HC, community is built in moments like these when we gather, celebrate one another, and begin something new together. Welcome to senior year, Class of 2027. We can't wait to see what God has in store for you this year!

Welcome back, Mustangs! 🐴💙 The halls are full, the energy is electric, and the 2026-27 school year is officially here. We have missed you all so much and could not be more excited to do this together. Community is our core value this year, and it starts right now, in the hallways, the classrooms, the fields, and everywhere in between. There is nothing quite like watching this place come alive again. Here’s to a great year. Let’s go, Mustangs!

That's a wrap on another incredible year at Houston Christian. 🎬

This year we challenged ourselves to live out Scholarship, not just in the classroom, but on the field, on the stage, and in everything in between. And Mustangs? You delivered.

Thank you to our students, families, coaches, and faculty for making 2025-26 one for the books. We are so proud of everything this community has accomplished.

Congratulations to Coach Ron Crandall on being named the 2025-26 NCSAA Boys' Varsity Basketball National Coach of the Year! 🏆

This honor recognizes coaches who lead with excellence on the court and a deeper purpose off of it, and Coach Crandall embodies exactly that. From guiding our Mustangs to an SPC Championship to investing in the growth and character of every player in the program, he is truly deserving of this recognition.

We are so proud of you, Coach. This one is well earned. 💙

Houston Christian Girls Soccer has a new leader, and we could not be more excited. Welcome, Coach Fredy Sanguinetti! ⚽

Coach Sang brings decades of experience to HC, including a 619-81-87 head coaching record, 5 TASCO Coach of the Year honors, 13 district championships, 18 area championships, and 5 state tournament appearances at the UIL 6A level. His teams have also finished in the top 10 nationally 5 times. The resume speaks for itself.

But what makes Coach Sang the right fit for Houston Christian goes beyond the trophies. He is a teacher, a mentor, and someone who believes deeply in developing young women on and off the field. That aligns perfectly with who we are.
