News on "The Hill"!

Award-winning actress, playwright, and scholar Anna Deavere Smith will serve as the keynote speaker for Prairie View A&M University’s 26th Fall Commencement Convocation ceremony on Saturday, December 11.

The ceremony will be held on the main campus in the William “Billy” J. Nicks, Sr. Building at 9 a.m. for all fall 2021 candidates for graduation.

Prairie View A&M University is pleased to announce that Nikki Giovanni has been named the 2021-2022 Writer-in-Residence in the Toni Morrison Writing Program. The appointment will officially begin with a virtual series taking place September 27 – 29.

Giovanni currently serves as a University Distinguished Professor at Virginia Tech University.
