🌟 Making a Big Difference at Williamson Elementary!

🌳✨ On Saturday, October 10, Williamson Elementary teamed up with LyondellBasell for a Campus Beautification Project.

Students, employees, and community members worked side by side to plant trees, install benches, paint outdoor areas, and spruce up campus grounds. Through teamwork, service, and Big Connections, our partners and volunteers are making Big Differences to create an inviting environment for our students, staff, and families.

Thank you to everyone who joined forces to demonstrate why Galena Park ISD is truly A Great Place to Be! 💙

Celebrating Teacher Leadership! 🌟

Our 2025–2026 Teachers of the Year are continuing to lead beyond the classroom as members of the Teacher Leadership Council (TLC)!

Today, TLC members met with Dr. Moore’s Cabinet to learn more about our district, engage in meaningful conversations, and gain valuable information to take back and share with their colleagues and school communities.

These outstanding educators serve as important ambassadors for education and for Galena Park ISD. Their voices, leadership, and commitment help strengthen the connection between our classrooms, campuses, and district.

Thank you to our Teacher Leadership Council members for representing your schools with pride and for all you do for our students, staff, and community! 💙

On October 14, members of the Superintendent’s Advisory Board (SAB) gathered for an inspiring afternoon centered on student voice and postsecondary planning! 🎓🤖

During the meeting, Dr. Brown, Director for College Readiness and Advanced Academics, shared guidance on college admissions and encouraged students to submit applications during ApplyTexas Week while institutions waive application fees.

Superintendent Dr. John Moore also initiated a timely discussion on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in schools, allowing board members to share their unique perspectives on how AI is shaping today's educational environment.
