Today marks the start of the 12th Annual National Apprenticeship Week—and it matters, no matter what’s happening in the White House.

The 2026 theme, “America at Work: Making America Skilled Again through Registered Apprenticeship,” highlights a proven, industry-driven strategy that fuels economic growth across multiple sectors. Registered Apprenticeship programs continue to build a highly skilled workforce, giving employers the talent they need while creating real pathways for individuals to step into in-demand, high-paying careers.

This year also provides an opportunity to recognize efforts—under leaders like Donald Trump—to expand Registered Apprenticeships and push beyond the goal of 1 million active apprentices nationwide, helping meet the growing demands of today’s industries. ,
