🥋 Happy Birthday, Shbeeb! 🎉
From white belt to brown belt, Shbeeb’s journey at Elite has been about more than just Jiu-Jitsu—it’s been about growth, friendship, and family.
After his prior martial arts school shut down, he found a new place to call home at Elite. The community quickly became his top reason for staying.
His journey has taught him that “just because a strategy helped me get TO a level doesn’t mean that the same strategy will help me advance FROM that level.” It’s also taught him that some people come and go, but the ones who stay become family.
His favorite part of Elite? Spending time with friends while refining and bettering themselves physically, mentally, and spiritually.
And his advice to anyone starting Jiu-Jitsu:
“You have to win in your mind far before you can win on the mats.”
BJJ is incredibly difficult, and the desire to quit will come again and again. But resolve to continue—the skills will come with time.
