We have some exciting updates to share with you regarding our Scholar Council, led by Mrs. Ybarsabal! 🧑🏼‍🏫

Elections have officially begun! In the coming days, our scholars will be campaigning and competing for Council Officer positions, including Council President, Treasurer, and Grade Class Presidents. We are excited to celebrate our scholar, Anna T., who has been elected as this year’s Secretary for the Council Officer team! 🎉 Let’s give it up for Anna and send some shine to all of our fellow nominees as they prepare for their campaigns!

We’re also excited to announce that our 7th Grade Class President and Council Vice President have been selected! Congratulations to Aspen and Olanike! Let’s give them a round of applause! 👏🏼

Very soon, our scholars will have the opportunity to present their campaigns in front of the entire middle school and share why they believe they would be the best fit for their desired roles. After the campaigns, our scholars will cast their votes for their peers, and the winners will be announced shortly afterward!

Mrs. Ybarsabal has also shared that our Scholar Council scholars are already preparing for Hispanic Heritage Month! They are planning an ofrenda and other meaningful cultural activities to help celebrate and honor the upcoming month.

It’s wonderful to see our scholars work intentionally, collaborate as a team, ask important questions, and create impactful moments for their HCCS community. 🦁

This morning, we had the opportunity to stop by Ms. Redmond’s Jigsaw Puzzle Club and see our scholars in action! 🧩✨

We’re excited to showcase our winning team and share how thrilled they are to be part of this club. From building teamwork skills to enjoying the satisfaction of putting each piece together, our scholars are looking forward to all they’ll learn and accomplish throughout the year.

Club season is officially in session! We are so excited to begin this series with you and give our HCCS community a closer look at each club, the incredible moments happening along the way, and all that our scholars will be able to achieve together throughout the 2026–2027 school year. 🦁⭐️

This year, we’re excited to introduce our clubs and the amazing teachers and staff who are leading them. A special thank you to each of our teachers and staff members who have dedicated their time to be present, build relationships, and share their common interests with our scholars.

Let’s continue to uplift and support our scholars so they feel encouraged to show up not only for themselves, but also for their classmates and teachers who are sharing these special moments with them.

As we officially celebrate two weeks into the new school year, we’re excited to share an updated look at Campus D, our home for our Middle School Scholars! 🦁🏫✨

Every corner of Campus D was designed intentionally with our middle school scholars in mind. From the classrooms to the common spaces, we created an environment where scholars feel excited to walk through the doors each day. Since the first day of school, it has been incredible to see how quickly our new and returning scholars have adapted to their new space.

As Campus D continues to come to life, we look forward to filling these spaces with lessons, accomplishments, and memories that will last for years to come. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. We’re already seeing just how impactful this new building has been for our scholars and our growing community.

As we continue through the school year, we can’t wait to share even more Campus D updates, this time, featuring our scholars in action so our families can see firsthand how much fun they’re having, how they’re thriving, and how we’re preparing them for the next chapter: high school and beyond.

Hello, Houston Classical community and future families!

We are excited to share an update on our new campus building. While construction is still underway, we wanted to give you a glimpse of the incredible progress being made inside the future home of our middle school scholars.

As we watch this vision come to life, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the donors, supporters, and community members who have invested in this project. Houston Classical would not be where it is today without the many individuals and families who believe in our mission and the transformative education we provide.

Every step of this journey brings us closer to opening a space where scholars can learn, grow, and thrive. Before you know it, our new campus will be complete and ready to welcome scholars through its doors.
