We're spotlight Katherine "Katie" Prentice as our May Member of the Month! She recently shared her expertise at UT Austin's School of Information Graduation and Convocation 2026 and we couldn't be more proud of her!

As Executive Director of the Texas Medical Center Library, Katie leads library services for UTHealth Houston and Baylor College of Medicine and her impact extends far beyond those walls. Not only is she passionate about mentoring early- and mid-career librarians, she's also a valued member of the Texas Exes Houston Chapter. Katie co-chairs the Scholarship Committee, awarding $187,000+ in scholarships to Houston-area UT students this year.

From Peace Corps volunteer in Latvia to library leader, Katie embodies "what starts here changes the world"! 🤘

Texas Exes UT Night at the Astros is happening, and we want YOU there. While our co-branded hats sold out (go Longhorns!), the fun absolutely didn't.

On Saturday, our volunteers assembled 4,000 meals at Kids Meals' new location. 🙌

Kids Meals fights childhood hunger in Houston by providing nutritious meals to kids in need. This weekend, our Texas Exes community showed up to support their mission, and as always, it was something special.

Calling Houston Longhorns! 🤘 The Touchdown Club of Houston is hosting a luncheon featuring Texas Football head coach Steve Sarkisian on Thursday, May 21st at noon at the Omni-Galleria. While this isn't a Texas Exes event, it's a great opportunity to hear from Coach Sark and support high school scholarships and athletics in Houston.
